TRANSPARENCY
How we use AI (Our Favorite Question)
Every so often a client asks us this, usually a little carefully, like they are not sure they want the answer.
Fair. You work in a field where confidentiality is not a policy, it is the entire foundation. So here is the whole thing, plainly.
Yes, we use AI. Here is exactly where, and here is where we do not.
Puhleeeassseee hear us before we start:
this page is about how we do our work. It is not about AI in your clinical practice, note-taking tools, or anything that touches your sessions. Different conversation, different tools, and we are not the people to ask about that one.
Also, we love to talk. Talking is our favorite. If you’d rather discuss in person, book a free call below.
What we use it for
Your voice, not a generic one
We built a process around it. Your brand voice and archetype come out of your StandOut Plan, which we do before anything gets written. That definition goes into everything, so the output sounds like you rather than like a marketing template.
Structure that works
We use the StoryBrand framework, where your client is the main character and you are the guide. AI helps us shape drafts around that structure quickly.
Real search data, not guesses
Keywords and phrases come from your actual Google Search Console data, not from a brainstorm. AI helps us find patterns across thousands of rows of search terms far faster than we could by hand.
Making sense of your numbers
We pull SEMrush, Search Console, Google Business Profile, and Google Analytics together and use AI to help interpret what is actually happening across all four. Four dashboards that never agree with each other become one clear picture.
Internal link mapping
Figuring out which pages should point to which is genuinely tedious. AI is good at tedious.
Drafting and images
We use Claude for most of the writing and analysis work and ChatGPT for some image work and content polishing.
What we never use it for
Anything to do with your clients. We never see client information, and we would not put it into an AI tool if we did.
We build websites and work on search visibility. Your practice management system, your notes, your intake forms, your client list: none of that is in our scope and none of it goes anywhere near a tool we use.
Your confidential business information. Contracts, financials, anything you share with us in confidence stays out of it. Related: here is how we think about HIPAA and your website.
Publishing without a human. No AI-generated content goes onto your website without a person reading every line of it first. Not skimming. Reading.
Why the human part is not a formality
AI is fast and confident and sometimes wrong. It will produce a paragraph that sounds authoritative and contains something that is not true about your modality, your licensure, or your state. It does not know that a particular phrase carries weight in your field, or that a sentence is technically accurate and ethically tone-deaf.
We do. So every draft gets read, edited, and frequently rewritten before it goes anywhere.
That is also why our website and maintenance plans include scheduled strategy calls. You talk to a person, looking at real data about your practice, making real decisions. The AI is a tool we use to get to that conversation faster. It is not the conversation.
What this means for what you pay
Honestly? It is the reason our pricing works.
Pre-AI SEO agencies charged what they charged because a human had to do all of it by hand. That work still has to happen, it just does not all have to happen manually anymore.
We pass that along. Same strategy, same human judgment, considerably less time spent on the parts that were never the valuable bit.
Why we pay attention to this at all
Because AI is not only a tool we use, it is increasingly how your clients find you. People now ask ChatGPT to recommend a therapist, and the practices that turn up in those answers were not chosen at random. Here is how AI search actually works, and what has been changing in Google.
If that's a dealbreaker
Some practices would rather work with someone who does all of this by hand. That’s a completely reasonable position and we’d never argue you out of it.
It just isn’t us. AI is built into how we work, not bolted on, and taking it out would mean a slower, more expensive version of the same thing with no real benefit to you. We would rather tell you that plainly than take the project and quietly do it our way anyway.
If it matters to you that no AI touches your website, we are not your people, and we will happily say so on the call.
